Making shinkro work

When does shinkro set start date?

If the anime on MAL has 0 episodes watched, and you finish watching the first episode of that anime in Plex, shinkro will set the start date for that anime in MAL.

When does shinkro update number of episodes watched?

If you finish watching episode 8 of an anime, and the number of episodes watched for that anime on MAL is less than 8, shinkro will update the number of episodes watched to 8.

When does shinkro set finish date?

shinkro will set the finished date when the updated number of episodes watched is equal to the total number of episodes the anime is supposed to have.

When does shinkro update number of times rewatched?

If the anime is marked as completed in your myanimelist, and you watch the last episode of the anime again in Plex, shinkro will increment the number of times rewatched.

When and how does shinkro update the anime score?

When you rate an anime episode in Plex, the score is updated by shinkro on MAL for that anime. Rating the season, or show itself will not have any effect. This is because TVDB seasons are not exactly mapped to anime on MAL. For example, Season 4 of DanMachi on TVDB is two different anime on MAL. Due to this, rating an episode which is properly mapped to an anime on MAL will update the score of an anime properly.
